Amie is a Partner based in our London office, operating from the West Midlands. She specialises in corporate and personal insolvency, with extensive experience in cases involving winding up petitions and both contentious and non-contentious insolvency assignments. She regularly handles Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs), compulsory liquidations, administrations, Company Voluntary Arrangements and investigations into breaches of the Insolvency Act and Companies Act, and recovery actions for creditors following a breach.
Amie has over 15 years of experience dealing with a wide variety of cases including those that have previously been subject to winding up petitions, working closely with directors and creditors to ensure timely and efficient resolutions. She also handles bankruptcy appointments arising from corporate insolvency, providing service continuity and a coordinated approach to asset realisation and creditor recovery.
Her recent cases include achieving the sale of a healthcare business and associated assets and property, following a HMRC winding up petition. An agreement was reached with HMRC to allow the appointment of liquidators. Amie has also recently dealt with a case involving the realisation of Bitcoin, allowing creditor distributions.
Prior to joining BTG, she gained considerable experience at leading insolvency practices. She is a qualified solicitor and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
