Independent valuations underpin critical decision-making in transactions, disputes, governance and strategic planning. Asset owners can depend on our assessments to be objective, defensible and grounded in sector expertise and an understanding of prevailing market conditions.
Our multidisciplinary partner-led valuations team combines expertise in forensic accounting, corporate finance and sector knowledge. We apply the most appropriate valuation methodology for each asset and draw on market intelligence, transaction benchmarking and macro risk assessments to ensure valuations reflect current sector dynamics and the broader economic outlook.
We anchor valuations in real-world commercial conditions that withstand scrutiny from investors, lenders, shareholders, auditors and the courts – supporting contentious matters as well as decisions on non-contentious acquisitions, disposals, capital allocation, fund reporting and liquidity events.
BTG acts for corporates, investors, trustees and legal advisers across a broad range of contexts, including M&A transactions, shareholder events, fund valuations and commercial disputes. Where value is contested, we provide independent expert evidence for litigation, arbitration and regulatory proceedings, with robust rationale ready for cross-examination.
Valuations are aligned with recognised professional and regulatory standards, reinforcing audit assurance and governance credibility and providing confidence to stakeholders.

US tariff reset erodes UK’s advantage as exporters prepare for the next regime
The Trump administration has replaced the reciprocal tariffs regime that was struck down by the Supreme Court with a non-discriminatory tariff tool, shifting tariff risk to a more uncertain carve-out-driven framework. In this new regime, the UK’s prior relative advantage for non-exempt goods is no longer assured and outcomes depend on sector carve-outs, product mix and enforcement.
