Vijay is a Partner based in our Birmingham office. He specialises in restructuring and financial advisory, with extensive experience in supporting businesses requiring rapid stabilisation due to acute cash pressures and concerns over business viability. He works closely with management teams, lenders and shareholders. He also provides independent, commercially focused and solutions-driven advice to executive boards, ensuring fiduciary duties are maintained.
He is regularly engaged to deliver creditor standstill and negotiation programmes, support refinancing processes, lead operational restructuring initiatives and manage part or full sale processes in stressed or distressed environments. He also works closely with lenders, undertaking pre-lending reviews and independent business assessments to evaluate risk, strategic options and recovery prospects.
His recent cases include supporting a business in obtaining a £2 million asset-based lending facility and a metal fabrication business with an accelerated M&A process.
Prior to joining BTG, Vijay acted as senior director at a leading financial and risk advisory firm. He is a Chartered Accountant.

The Trump administration has replaced the reciprocal tariffs regime that was struck down by the Supreme Court with a non-discriminatory tariff tool, shifting tariff risk to a more uncertain carve-out-driven framework. In this new regime, the UK’s prior relative advantage for non-exempt goods is no longer assured and outcomes depend on sector carve-outs, product mix and enforcement.
