Andrew is a Partner based in our Newcastle office. He specialises in corporate insolvency, personal insolvency and restructuring, with extensive experience across the construction, leisure, hospitality, retail and FCA-regulated sectors. As an accredited mediator, he supports parties involved in shareholder disputes by providing mediation, coaching and mentoring to directors and stakeholders to facilitate resolution and protect enterprise value.
Andrew has over 30 years of experience delivering insolvency and restructuring solutions and undertaking a wide range of corporate and personal insolvency appointments, bolstered by his accounting background.
His recent cases include the pre-pack sale of an estate agent following market exposure. He handled a construction dispute prior to potential insolvency, which required intervention from specialists. He handled the sale of a hospitality business from a Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation (CVL), and a high value MVL involving international assets. He was also involved in a Ponzi scheme investigation involving the pursuit of the director.
Prior to joining BTG, Andrew was regional managing partner for the North East at a Top Ten accounting firm. He is a Chartered Accountant, a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and is currently working towards becoming a CMI (Chartered Management Institute) accredited coach.
