Andy is the Chief Information Officer at BTG, based in our Manchester office. He is responsible for delivering IT strategy and accelerating the use of technology, both internally and in delivering services to clients. He is at the core of BTG’s ongoing digital transformation and manages the data, infrastructure, operations and innovation teams.
Andy has over 20 years of experience leading IT change programmes, with an extensive record of turnarounds through restructuring operations, building resilient teams and implementing positive cultural changes. Andy is a strong believer in driving sustainable change by strengthening IT capabilities and using this as a foundation to better leverage technology.
Andy started his career in management consultancy at a multinational professional services consultancy, progressing to managing large-scale IT change programmes for clients. Prior to joining BTG, Andy held IT leadership roles across various sectors, including professional services, utilities, plant hire, food manufacturing and contract catering. The consistent theme across all of his roles includes harmonising technology across diverse group companies and leveraging technology to drive business growth.
Andy studied Economics at the University of Manchester.

US tariff reset erodes UK’s advantage as exporters prepare for the next regime
The Trump administration has replaced the reciprocal tariffs regime that was struck down by the Supreme Court with a non-discriminatory tariff tool, shifting tariff risk to a more uncertain carve-out-driven framework. In this new regime, the UK’s prior relative advantage for non-exempt goods is no longer assured and outcomes depend on sector carve-outs, product mix and enforcement.
