Chris is a Partner based in our Brighton office. He specialises in corporate insolvency, restructuring and financial advisory, with extensive experience advising directors facing financial distress and lenders concerned with impaired facilities.
Chris is an expert within the retail pharmacy marketplace, successfully working on a number of high-profile trading administration cases, ensuring the optimal disposal of retail pharmacy units to maximise goodwill values. He plays a central role in BTG’s retail pharmacy service, collaborating with lenders, wholesalers and industry professionals to deliver tailored solutions, ranging from advisory support to formal insolvency processes.
Beyond the pharmacy sector, Chris works with directors across multiple industries, supporting both solvent and insolvent liquidations.
Notable cases include an advisory assignment involving a chain of retail pharmacies facing severe cash flow difficulties and working closely with the national team to understand the challenges and propose options. He also worked on the prepack disposal of two retail pharmacy units, in conjunction with the Manchester office, demonstrating strong national collaboration and sector expertise.
He was appointed as administrator of a distance selling pharmacy with considerable connected party claims. Other cases involve providing review and advisory services to a lender with a historic loan in default, achieving full recovery and business continuity.
Prior to joining BTG, Chris acted as a director and owner of a Brighton-based business recovery and insolvency practice, which was acquired by BTG in 2024. He is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
