John is a Director based in our Exeter office. He specialises in valuations across commercial, trading and residential development properties throughout the South West, with extensive experience valuing pubs, hotels, industrial and retail units, and development schemes for public and private sector clients and lending institutions.
He has over 18 years' experience in general practice surveying, providing comprehensive valuation and landlord and tenant services. His work encompasses RICS red book compliant valuations for diverse purposes, alongside lease surrenders, renewals and rent reviews for both landlords and tenants. John collaborates with in-house development and building surveying teams to deliver detailed appraisals of residential and commercial development schemes, supporting clients with strategic property advice across the region.
Prior to joining, John gained experience at a commercial property consultancy and previously worked in both public and private sector roles. He is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), RICS registered valuer, and holds a degree in Rural Estate Management from the University of Plymouth.
