Kris is a Managing Partner based in our Sheffield office. He specialises in restructuring, corporate insolvency and financial advisory, with extensive experience in contentious insolvency, business turnaround, refinancing and stakeholder-led appointments. He handles high-profile cases involving complex stakeholder environments, distressed businesses requiring rapid stabilisation, and cases with commercial or reputational sensitivities.
He also led the expansion of the Sheffield office as part of BTG’s wider growth strategy.
Kris has over 17 years of experience in accountancy and insolvency, and he is regularly appointed administrator, liquidator, and trustee in bankruptcy on both corporate and personal insolvency matters.
A recent high-profile appointment includes acting as administrator of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, overseeing the administration process, engaging with key stakeholders and working to protect the long-term interests of the club, employees and creditors. He provided advisory and restructuring support to a regional manufacturing group, leading to successful refinancing. He also worked on the liquidation of a professional services company involving a complex investigation into director conduct.
Prior to joining BTG, Kris acted as associate director at a licensed insolvency practice and founded his own insolvency and business rescue firm earlier in his career. He is a Chartered Accountant and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
