Matthew Hattersley

Matthew is a Director based in our Leeds office. He is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor with over 14 years’ experience in valuation and consultancy, specialising in asset advisory and restructuring. As a RICS registered valuer and registered property receiver, he has extensive expertise across residential, commercial, leisure and development assets.

He has a strong track record of advising secured lenders, insolvency practitioners and corporate clients on complex property matters. Notable work includes providing valuation and strategy advice to the administrators of a championship rugby stadium, acting as joint fixed charge receiver on residential development opportunities in South Wales and Sandbanks, and overseeing the disposal of a nationwide mixed-use property portfolio on behalf of liquidators. He has also completed lender secondments, advising on the recovery of impaired loan books.

Prior to joining BTG, Matthew worked for several national property consultancies, including in an in-house advisory role, gaining experience in valuation, asset management and strategic property advice. He is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor (MRICS), registered property receiver (RPR), and fellow of NARA (The Association of Property & Fixed Charge Receivers).
