Michael Joined Ernest Wilson in July 2002. Michael has marked his twenty first year at Ernest Wilson, after joining us in 2002 as a Sales Negotiator. Now a Director and Valuer, Michael can usually be found handling the sales of high-value businesses and properties with prices upwards of £500,000. He also deals with contract queries and chases those solicitors for completion! Michael is another keen runner, running with Queensbury Running Club.

US tariff reset erodes UK’s advantage as exporters prepare for the next regime
The Trump administration has replaced the reciprocal tariffs regime that was struck down by the Supreme Court with a non-discriminatory tariff tool, shifting tariff risk to a more uncertain carve-out-driven framework. In this new regime, the UK’s prior relative advantage for non-exempt goods is no longer assured and outcomes depend on sector carve-outs, product mix and enforcement.
