Paul is a Non-Executive Director, providing strategic guidance to the BTG Eddisons auction leadership team. He brings extensive experience across property auctions, construction and insolvency, with over four decades of management and leadership in property and construction.
As former owner of Pugh Auctions and former partner at Eddisons, both BTG acquisitions, Paul led the national auction team. He played an instrumental role in the growth of BTG Eddisons , navigating a series of successful acquisitions, providing due diligence, and integrating teams and systems to create one of the UK's largest auction entities. His work encompassed managing significant IT projects, strategic marketing rebranding, business rationalisation and developing growth strategies.
Prior to over 23 years in property auctions, Paul spent 20 years as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, working across client-side, main and sub-contracting roles, including secondments to ICI Astra Zeneca, Shell, and BNFL, and advising insolvency practitioners and banks on pre-lending appraisals and project management.
Paul sits on the RICS auction steering group, advancing industry standards and regulation within the auction sector. His career spans property auctions, corporate insolvency support, construction project management across property, civil engineering and telecoms sectors, and development appraisals for funders. He held senior roles at a number of firms, including a full-service commercial real estate services firm and a global construction and project management consultancy.
