Learn more about Paul Wood
Paul is a Partner based in our Bristol office. He leads the specialist contentious insolvency team, with experience in large corporate insolvencies and contentious matters involving fraud, tax evasion, money laundering and cross-border asset recovery. He is regularly instructed by HMRC and solicitors to conduct company investigations.
Paul has over 27 years of experience supporting large and complex insolvencies. He recently acted as compulsory liquidator of a swimming pool manufacturer following a HMRC petition, with significant asset recovery expected. He also acted as the lead Insolvency Practitioner on the large Officeserve Technologies Limited investigation, which led to numerous court hearings and negotiations, eventually resulting in the recovery of over £750,000 for creditors.
He is a fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and a former committee member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).
Prior to joining BTG, Paul gained experience at a global advisory firm within the restructuring division. He is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant.
