Richard is a Partner based in our London office. He specialises in corporate insolvency, with expertise across a range of sectors, including construction, hospitality, leisure and gambling.

Richard has over 30 years of experience supporting financially distressed and under-performing businesses, conducting a wide range of appointments involving a variety of property, leisure and licensed trade matters, ranging from Michelin Star restaurants, international property realisations and a specialist demolition operation.

Recent appointments include acting as a liaison between the taxpayer and HMRC in relation to obligations arising from tax avoidance schemes, such as film partnerships and employee benefit trusts. He also conducted the Jersey-based administration of a large online gambling platform.

Prior to joining BTG, Richard was a partner at a leading insolvency, advisory and forensic services firm. He is a Chartered Accountant and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
