Sharon is an Operations Director based in our Stockport office. She leads the Machinery and Business Assets Department, bringing over 30 years' experience in plant and machinery operations, asset sales and auction management.

She oversees a department that conducts more than 300 auctions annually, achieving realisations approaching £8 million. Sharon is responsible for the day-to-day running of the auction operation and manages a dedicated team working from offices throughout the country, ensuring consistent delivery and operational excellence across the department.

Sharon joined BTG Eddisons over 35 years ago, progressing to her current role, which demonstrates her deep understanding of the sector and commitment to driving continuous improvement.

US tariff reset erodes UK’s advantage as exporters prepare for the next regime

The Trump administration has replaced the reciprocal tariffs regime that was struck down by the Supreme Court with a non-discriminatory tariff tool, shifting tariff risk to a more uncertain carve-out-driven framework. In this new regime, the UK’s prior relative advantage for non-exempt goods is no longer assured and outcomes depend on sector carve-outs, product mix and enforcement.
