Simon is a Managing Partner of our Corporate Finance business based in our Birmingham office and works across the UK and internationally. He advises institutions, owner managers, founders and corporates on all types of corporate finance transactions across a range of sectors.
Simon has over 25 years of experience in the corporate finance and private equity market. His experience in private equity has enabled him to build a track record working on a range of private equity deals, including management advisory services, sale mandates and providing acquisition support to PE-backed businesses.
Recent notable transactions include advising the shareholders of JMC Aviation on its cross-border sale to Launch, a US-based investee company of Capitol Meridian Partners. He provided buy-side advice to LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Bank, on its growth capital investment in Harper James, a fast growing full service commercial law firm.
He also recently provided buy-side support to Severn Trent on multiple acquisitions for its non-regulated water services division.
Before joining BTG over 13 years ago, Simon spent 10 years working in private equity as an investor with Livingbridge and Mercia. Prior to that, he worked in corporate finance advisory and leveraged finance.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at a Big Four accounting practice.
