Simon is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in business finance, banking, corporate insolvency and restructuring. He works across our Glasgow and Aberdeen offices and operates all over Scotland.
Simon works closely with directors and business owners to help solve financial problems, providing comprehensive solutions and pragmatic advice to clients facing creditor pressure, funding issues or challenging business conditions.
He provides objective oversight to businesses requiring support and a comprehensive assessment of the range of options available, whether that may be a new funding line, a structured restructuring plan or a strategic business closure route. With experience across most sectors and regions in Scotland, Simon has worked with thousands of directors and businesses.
Prior to joining BTG, Simon gained extensive leadership experience, including heading the forced exit teams in Scotland and London for a retail bank during the financial crisis.
Simon is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS) and he holds a master's degree in Business Administration.
