Stephen is a Partner based in our Southampton office. He works on all types of corporate recovery, business restructuring, turnaround and personal insolvency procedures, with extensive experience in the marine, automotive, leisure, construction, professional services and education sectors.
Stephen has over 20 years of experience and works closely with accountants, solicitors, lenders and other referrers. He advises businesses and individuals in financial distress on a wide range of insolvency matters, delivering corporate recovery and turnaround solutions, including personal insolvency appointments involving bankruptcies and Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs).
He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner.

The Trump administration has replaced the reciprocal tariffs regime that was struck down by the Supreme Court with a non-discriminatory tariff tool, shifting tariff risk to a more uncertain carve-out-driven framework. In this new regime, the UK’s prior relative advantage for non-exempt goods is no longer assured and outcomes depend on sector carve-outs, product mix and enforcement.
