Tom is a Director based in our London office. He is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor with over 18 years' experience in valuation and consultancy, specialising in secured lending valuations and asset recovery. As a RICS-registered valuer and registered property receiver, he has extensive expertise advising lenders and insolvency practitioners on complex property matters.
Tom has a strong track record delivering valuation and receivership appointments across diverse property portfolios, with particular expertise in distressed asset scenarios. His experience includes advising secured lenders on impaired loan portfolios and acting as a fixed charge receiver on challenging asset realisations. His deep understanding of lender requirements stems from his direct experience within a major bank's restructuring division, where he managed distressed property exposures from the lender's perspective.
Prior to joining BTG, Tom spent 14 years at a global commercial property consultancy as a director, specialising in secured lending valuations. He also worked at a Big Four bank as a relationship manager in the restructuring division. He is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor (MRICS), registered property receiver (RPR), and fellow of NARA (The Association of Property & Fixed Charge Receivers). He holds a master's degree in estate management from London South Bank University and a degree in Geography from the University of Leicester.
