BTG advises Severn Trent Plc on its acquisition of Reigate Environmental Services

About the deal:

Severn Trent Services (“STS”), a division of Severn Trent Plc, provides a range of commercial water solutions and water treatment services to businesses and organisations across the UK. The division deals with the non-regulated activities of Severn Trent.

Reigate Environmental Services (“Reigate”) is a water treatment and hygiene company headquartered in Redhill, Surrey. Established in 2010, Reigate specialises in closed system water treatment services, offering a comprehensive range of solutions for both new and existing water and air systems.

STS’ acquisition of Reigate marks a significant step in its mission to expand its footprint in the UK water services sector, particularly strengthening its position in closed system water treatment and pre-commissioning cleaning. This marks the third acquisition in this sector in the last two years and will become part of the Aqualytix subsidiary.

Clients of both STS and Reigate will benefit from a broader range of services, deeper technical knowledge, and access to industry-leading digital compliance tools through the acquisition. The deal will also mean accelerated response times and enhanced operational support across the UK, from routine compliance to complex remedial work. Reigate Directors Paris Catacos and Gareth Ford will both continue to manage the business as part the Severn Trent Group.
