Clive is a Partner based in our Guernsey office. He specialises in corporate insolvency, personal insolvency and financial advisory, with extensive experience in trading administrations, forensic investigations, fraud, asset tracing and asset recovery across multiple jurisdictions.
Clive has over 25 years of experience in insolvency, investigations into directors’ fiduciary duties, preferences and avoidance claims, litigation, asset tracing and asset recovery in jurisdictions such as the Middle East and China. He has considerable offshore experience in Bermuda and Guernsey. Since relocating to Guernsey, Clive has acted as liquidator of numerous local and international companies from all spheres and acted in an advisory role to local directors and professionals. Clive has recently been closely engaged with BTG’s advisory partners in South Africa. He worked on a matter involving a Guernsey-based former AIM listed company, which is part of a complex group and has inter alia shareholding in a South African vanadium mine. The assignment involved the sale of shares in the South African subsidiaries, resulting in negotiating the sale of assets with South African authorities.
He is a member of The Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Experts (ARIES) in the Channel Islands and a member of INSOL International. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant.

The Trump administration has replaced the reciprocal tariffs regime that was struck down by the Supreme Court with a non-discriminatory tariff tool, shifting tariff risk to a more uncertain carve-out-driven framework. In this new regime, the UK’s prior relative advantage for non-exempt goods is no longer assured and outcomes depend on sector carve-outs, product mix and enforcement.
