Ian is a Partner based in our Stockton-on-Tees office. He specialises in corporate insolvency, with extensive experience supporting owner-managed businesses, from micro companies to SMEs across the property, retail, hospitality and leisure sectors.
Ian is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and he has over 25 years of experience delivering insolvency solutions.
He recently worked on the solvent liquidation of an independent machinery supplier following a £4.25 million management buyout (MBO), backed by private equity. He led the vacant property sale of a manufacturer of polymer mouldings and seals, involving global creditors and creditor committee concerns. He also handled the demise of a Horizon scandal hit-Post Office, including the progression of claims, clamp down of creditor claims and returns to the bankruptcy estate(s) of directors.
Prior to joining BTG, Ian gained experience at an independent insolvency practice.
