Jonathan is a Partner based in our Preston office. He specialises in SME insolvency and plays the leading role in developing and driving digital efforts behind the SME insolvency division.
Jonathan supports company directors in financial distress and is widely respected for his honest and trusted approach with distressed directors. He played an instrumental part in supporting the SME insolvency team in securing the Customer Service Excellence award, a government-backed quality mark.
Jonathan founded a respected, boutique corporate insolvency and business recovery practice, which was acquired by BTG.

US tariff reset erodes UK’s advantage as exporters prepare for the next regime
The Trump administration has replaced the reciprocal tariffs regime that was struck down by the Supreme Court with a non-discriminatory tariff tool, shifting tariff risk to a more uncertain carve-out-driven framework. In this new regime, the UK’s prior relative advantage for non-exempt goods is no longer assured and outcomes depend on sector carve-outs, product mix and enforcement.
