About the deal:

Arden Fine Foods (“Arden”) was acquired for an undisclosed sum by its management team, led by Gareth Owen, Mohammad Usman and Louise Longson. This is Arden’s fourth MBO, once again funded by Barclays Corporate Team.

Arden is a specialist agency that sources premium biscuits and baked goods from across Europe, working with suppliers and retailers to develop brands and implement marketing strategies. Arden work with major retailers and independents on both private label and branded products alongside a range of Arden-branded products.

How we add value:

• Providing strategic guidance on the timing of the deal, the structure of the transaction and the funding terms, negotiating with the lender where relevant
• Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure parties were fully aligned throughout the process ensure a smooth transaction
• Working with management to build a detailed financial forecast to access funding requirements, affordability and a repayment profile, alongside relevant sensitivity analysis
